A powerful and flexible tool, RM Talking First Word is built around Microsoft® Word® and includes additional, educationally relevant features. As such, it offers the perfect introduction to word processing for young learners.
It has four colour-coded levels, enabling you to choose the most appropriate tools for each class and allowing your pupils to progress at each level. Levels range from a few easy-to-use tools to the full power of Microsoft® Word®. With this progression, pupils only have to learn to use one package throughout their school days and beyond.
Main features:
- A "Print Once" only function that allows you to automatically disable the print button, after printing once, for a pre-determined amount of time. This pause will help you ensure that pupils are only able to print one copy of a document at a time, thus saving printing paper and time.
- The speech function allows pupils to hear words and sentences being read back to them, helping them with spelling and punctuation. This is particularly beneficial in aiding inclusion and special education needs pupils.
- The RM Topic Bank provides hundreds of curriculum relevant pictures and words for pupils to include in their work. These can be accessed at the click of a mouse, and help pupils learn to recognise new vocabulary and illustrate their written work.
- Four colour-coded levels (Yellow, Green, Blue and Red), that can be selected to suit pupils ability and facilitate progression.
- You can also add your own pictures to the RM Topic Bank, further customising the package.
- There is an in-built tool that allows you to further customise levels and change settings to suit your teaching or your pupils' needs.
